My Song

 Hi! today I made a song on chrome music lab. If you already watched the video you will notice it is a very continuous song, and if you haven't watch away! 

If you are wondering and pondering why I did this, here's why! I have signed up to a website called the Summer Learning Journey. The Summer want you to do more blog posts. Also if you are pondering about what I like about this song, it's definitely the repeating pattern!

Sorry if the song didn't play the music, because recording a sound with a chrome and playing music on the chrome, normally the chrome doesn't pick up the sound it was playing. But you can copy the beat if you want to. Just use the link I gave you.

Scratch

 I have made a video on a website called scratch. Scratch is a website were you can code basically ANYTHING. I did scratch because my teacher told me that I have to create a maze to solve and get out of. I am proud that my maze is slightly complex. 

The Olympic Games

 A few days ago I made an Olympic medal with Tinkercad. The medal had a diamond in it. On the diamond it had the Olympic rings. Above the rings it had a 1. Under the rings it had the word of the country were I live, New Zealand. Then a showed it to my teacher. My teacher said that I had to have something on the back of the medal. I don't know what, but I know one thing it has to have. The roman date. This is what it will be: Games Of the New Zealand Olympiad MMXXXVI. Do you know Roman numerals? do you know the other thing I need on the back?

Flax Boats

 Two days ago I finished my flax boat. A flax boat is a basket made of flax that looks like a boat. We are Going to use them for our school sausage sizzle. Some are small, Some are big. Some, are good, some, are not as good.

Matariki Art

I  finished my Matariki art today. It is the southern lights and Matariki. I used some newsprint, a pencil,  scissors, a photo of a mountain, A4 black paper, pastel chalks, stars, hairspray, white mounting paper and a glue stick. I really like the final creation. Do you like it? 

E-ako

 Last week we learned about E-ako. E-ako is where you can choose a maths task along a thing called the pathway. There are at least 5 or 6 path ways. If a dot along the path way has a + it means you have to do more. if it has a flag on it it means your teacher wants you to do it. If you click a dot you can see how many points you can earn and start it. There are also three types of answers you can do: type answers move the answers and click the right answers. Do you want to do E-ako?  

Onomatopoeia Art

Today I finished my onomatopoeia art. First I choose my background colour. Then I choose the color of my letters. Then I checked if my letters fit on the news paper It took me 3 attempts on the news paper part. Then on my 3rd attempt I made a another small news paper but one of the teachers came up with the bending idea. The idea worked, just. Then I glued the news paper on then I glued the letters. Do you think you could do this with no instructions?  

Go Zen

At the end of last year and this year we did Go zen. Go Zen is something were you watch a video and sometimes answer questions. The one I most like is one were they give you tools that teach you to pause and think is this a good thought. We do Go Zen to, this year teach us well being. We also learnt that events cause thoughts that cause reactions. This is called ETR.

NL Marching Ants

We did some computational thinking as a class challenge. We practised with counters and dots on the floor. When we felt like there was no way to do it, we got shown how to do it. Then we made the screen- castify. This is my answer. Have you seen other problems like this? Do you think you could answer this without watching the video? 

Chromebook pet

 I have made a Chromebook pet. It took lots of work but it turned out very good. What do you think? I did this to show you how to treat your device around all areas. Read the red box to see what to do.

I made this by making a background then adding the snake. then I added the keyboards and the computer screens and the baby Chromebook.
