Farmers tractor-construction challenge

This is my farmers tractor. It is made from cardboard. To make it I used toilet paper rolls, a nutrigrain box, a cheese cracker box, an egg carton, a snack bar box and a chocolate box. First I glued the wheels on with a hot glue gun. then I made a cab out of a chesse cracker box. Then I made a back window with a hot air heater.

  1. Wow Nate, that's a great looking tractor. Gosh, you must have very steady hands to use a hot glue gun. I always end up burning myself with one! I can see that it's a tractor, but because of it's wheels, it reminds me of a 'The Flintstone's' car! Do you know who 'The Flintstone's' are?

  2. Very cool tractor Nate.Did you use a picture to copy off? or can you remember all the tractor parts by memory? I love constructing things from boxes and other bits that I can find around the house.Hot glue guns are great for this type of construction as it sets really quick. Now that you have made this is there something that you would do differently next time.

  3. Way to go Nate!! What a great tractor. I really like how you have told us all the boxes that you used and that you explained the whole process about how you made it. Keep up the great learning.

  4. Hi Nate. You look really proud of your tractor. You are lucky you have a hot glue gun and glue sticks at home right now! You must have been really patient to gather all the boxes you needed and then glued them one by one. Hot glue works much better than sellotape though doesn't it? What are you using your tractor for now? What are you thinking of creating next?

  5. Kia ora Nate,
Thank you for creating such a detailed, well constructed blogpost about your farmers tractor-construction challenge!
Your tractor looks incredible, and I think it is awesome how you included both the materials you used to make this, and the steps you took in order to do so. You should be very proud of your efforts, and I personally think you have done a fantastic job.
I noticed how you have designed the egg caron to stick over the front of your tractor. Why is this?
I also noticed how you used paper rolls as the wheels for your tractor. Does this mean your tractor can move around?
It would be awesome if you could reply to this comment and let me know!
It is so cool to see how happy you are with your project, and it would be cool if you could let us know more about this challenge aspect of things!
    Keep up the great blogging!
